Role: Urology Theatre Scrub Practitioner

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Monday-Friday, Occasional Saturdays, Short & Long days
Salary: Competitive- dependent upon experience + allowances
Opened in January 2024, The Harborne Hospital is a £100 million, purpose-built, 50-bed, multi-specialty private hospital located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Campus.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Urology Theatre Scrub Practitioner to join our outstanding Theatre Team. This is a unique opportunity to work in an advanced surgical environment where experience in robotic-assisted surgery is essential, with proven expertise in the da Vinci surgical system. You will play a key role in delivering outstanding patient care across a wide range of urological procedures.
What you will doAct as the scrub practitioner for a variety of urological procedures, ensuring meticulous attention to aseptic techniques.
Work confidently in robotic-assisted urological surgery, particularly with the da Vinci surgical system.
Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment, ensuring all instruments and equipment are optimally prepared.
Anticipate and support the surgical team’s needs throughout complex procedures.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of urological surgical techniques, robotics, and innovations.
Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and the wider team to deliver safe, high-quality care.
Contribute to a positive, supportive, and patient-focused theatre culture.
What You Will BringCurrent NMC Pin or HCPC Registration.
Post-graduate experience as a Scrub Practitioner in an operating theatre.
Essential: Strong experience in robotic-assisted surgery, with proven expertise in the da Vinci system.
A passion for urology and minimally invasive surgical techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
