Full time: 37.5 hours per week  
Shift times: Monday – Friday  
Fixed Term Contract 1 year until 31st July 2026

We’re looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist - Tissue Viability Nurse to join our team at The Princess Grace Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK on a fixed term contract until 31st July 2026

As a Tissue Viability Nurse, you will provide expert knowledge and lead the clinical management of complex wound care within the Princess Grace Hospital; a world-leading private hospital specialising in Complex Surgery and Acute Medicine. 

Duties and Responsibilities 
To lead the provision of specialist advice, for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of tissue viability conditions, including related advanced tissue viability techniques. 

To support and provide mentorship of junior staff, acting as a clinical expert and role model. 

The post holder will be responsible for providing a high-quality holistic service for patients who require specialist tissue viability knowledge and skills to advise staff, patients and carers. 

Collaborating with the senior nursing, allied health professionals and medical teams, the post holder will review themes and trends from incidents, performance metrics, pressure ulcer incident rates and leading on practice changes within the Hospital and ensuring we are up to date with the best practices in evidence-based care. 

The post holder will coordinate all aspects of audit, undertake research in relation to both local and national criteria set for the development and improvement of wound care management strategies and will be required to represent the Hospital and the Tissue Viability Service at both local and national events. 

To manage and deliver a strong and robust training programme, both formal and informal to the MDT regarding pressure ulcer prevention and wound management. 

The post holder will support the infection prevention agenda within the Hospital.

NMC Registered 

An experienced Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist with highly developed clinical expertise 

Excellent communication and leadership skills 

A team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced changing environment 

Teaching or mentoring qualification 

Evidence of continuous professional development in clinical area 

Working towards, or willing to work towards a Master’s degree within the first year on employment
