We’re looking for a Theatre Practitioner – Anaesthetics to join our theatres team at The Wellington Hospital. As one of the UK’s largest and most advanced private hospitals, The Wellington Hospital offers a unique environment where complex surgery and cutting edge technology come together. With 13 state of the art theatres across three specialist buildings, you’ll be part of a service delivering a diverse range of high acuity procedures, including cardiac, robotics, neurosurgery, orthopaedics and major general surgery.

In this role, you’ll join a collaborative and highly skilled theatre team where patient safety, precision and teamwork underpin everything we do. Working closely with experienced anaesthetists, surgeons, nurses and fellow ODPs, you’ll play a key part in delivering safe and effective anaesthetic care across a varied caseload. Your day to day work will involve preparing and checking anaesthetic equipment, supporting during procedures and ensuring patients are cared for throughout their perioperative journey. With exposure to specialist theatres and advanced techniques, this is a setting that supports both confidence building and continuous professional development.

What you’ll do:
Prepare, check and maintain anaesthetic equipment to ensure safe and effective use

Assist the anaesthetist during a wide range of surgical procedures

Monitor patients throughout anaesthesia, maintaining high standards of care

Support patients across their perioperative journey, ensuring safety and comfort

Work collaboratively with the wider theatre team across multiple specialities

What you’ll bring:
Current HCPC registration as an Operating Department Practitioner

Proven experience working within a theatre environment

Post qualification experience in anaesthetics

Anaesthetics qualification

A proactive, adaptable approach with a commitment to high standards of patient care
