Role: Senior Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioner
Location: The Princess Grace Hospital
Hours: Permanent, Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Monday – Saturday, 5 days per week, earlies, lates and long days (8am-4pm, 12pm-9pm, 7:30am-9pm)
Salary: Competitive + shift allowance

We’re looking for a Senior Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioner to join our outstanding Operating Theatres team at The Princess Grace Hospital.

The Princess Grace Hospital is recognised as one of London’s leading multidisciplinary private hospitals and a major centre for complex surgery and innovation. Our seven state‑of‑the‑art theatres provide a vibrant, fast‑paced and highly professional environment, featuring a hybrid theatre, a dedicated robotic surgery suite and three laminar‑flow theatres for orthopaedics.

Our theatre team brings together highly experienced consultants and practitioners who deliver a wide range of complex procedures across Orthopaedics, Robotics, Urology, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Breast and Spinal specialties. We are proud to be at the forefront of surgical advancement, with two Da Vinci robotic systems and more than 500 robotic procedures completed — placing us among the most experienced robotic surgery centres in the UK.

As a Senior Anaesthetic Practitioner, you’ll play a key role in delivering safe, expert care across multiple specialties, working within a department known for its high standards, strong teamwork and commitment to continuous improvement.

What you will do:
Deliver safe, high‑quality perioperative care, always putting patient safety and evidence‑based practice at the forefront

Prepare patients confidently for anaesthetic and surgical procedures, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience

Work across all areas of the theatre suite, sharing expertise, supporting colleagues and contributing to a strong, cohesive team

Check, set up and maintain all anaesthetic equipment to the highest standard, reporting any issues promptly to the Theatre Co‑ordinator

What you will bring:
Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC) with valid professional registration

Strong post‑registration experience working as an Anaesthetic Practitioner within an operating theatre environment

Proven ability to deliver high‑quality anaesthetic care across a range of surgical specialties

Familiarity with UK clinical standards and protocols

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to support safe, effective teamwork in a busy theatre setting
