Senior Staff Nurse – Chemotherapy Day Unit
Location: Leaders in Oncology Care (LOC), London
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday–Friday)
Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits
Are you an experienced chemotherapy nurse looking to take the next meaningful step in your career while making a genuine difference to people facing cancer?
At Leaders in Oncology Care (LOC), part of HCA Healthcare UK, you’ll join a service that is truly dedicated to exceptional cancer care. Our centres are rated Outstanding by the CQC and recognised with the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark, reflecting our unwavering focus on delivering not just world-class treatment, but deeply compassionate, patient-centred care in an environment designed around comfort, dignity and wellbeing.
As a Senior Staff Nurse, you’ll play a central role in delivering systemic anti-cancer therapies, assessing and supporting patients through every stage of their treatment journey. You’ll work closely with a highly skilled multidisciplinary team in a calm, modern and purpose-built setting, ensuring each patient receives safe, seamless and personalised care.
What makes this role special is the balance of autonomy and support. You’ll be empowered to make clinical decisions, advocate for your patients and lead by example, while being surrounded by colleagues who genuinely care about each other as much as they do their patients. You’ll not only deliver treatment, but also provide reassurance, guidance and emotional support to patients and their families during some of their most challenging moments.
Working at LOC means being at the forefront of cancer care. You’ll have access to advanced systemic therapies and innovative treatments, many of which are not yet widely available elsewhere, supported by an on-site pharmacy and chemotherapy production unit. This allows you to expand your clinical knowledge and practice at a level that keeps you engaged, challenged and continuously developing.
Your growth is just as important to us as the care you provide. You’ll benefit from structured development pathways, fully funded training opportunities including Master’s level study, and regular access to external clinical educators. Whether your ambition is to progress into a Sister, Matron or specialist oncology role, you’ll be supported every step of the way in a career that can truly evolve with you.
Above all, LOC is a place where caring is at the heart of everything. Caring for patients, for families, and for each other. At HCA Healthcare UK, we care about what you care about — delivering exceptional care, building a career you’re proud of, and working in an environment where your wellbeing and contribution are genuinely valued.
What you’ll bring:
NMC Nurse Registration
Proven experience in chemotherapy administration
Post-registration experience in an oncology
Strong and up-to-date knowledge of systemic anti-cancer therapies (e.g. chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiotherapy), including common and rare side effects
