Senior Staff Nurse – Chemotherapy Day Unit
Location: London, Platinum Medical Centre (LOC)
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 8am–6pm)
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Competitive, with excellent benefits
The Platinum Medical Centre, located in North West London, is the largest private outpatient and diagnostic centre in the UK. The Chemotherapy Day Unit is managed by Leaders in Oncology Care (LOC) — one of the UK’s most respected specialist cancer services, rated Outstanding by the CQC. LOC brings its renowned expertise, patient‑centred approach, and clinical excellence directly into the heart of the Platinum Medical Centre.
The Chemotherapy Day Unit features 10 chemotherapy chairs and specialises in treating Gastrointestinal (GI) and Breast Cancer patients, which form the core of its caseload. The wider centre includes 50 consulting rooms, 4-day surgery theatres with dedicated admission and recovery areas, and a 12‑bedded day surgery unit, all purpose‑built to deliver exceptional care.
We are seeking a dynamic and committed Senior Staff Nurse with a strong background in Oncology to join our Day Care Unit. This is more than a clinical role — it is a genuine leadership opportunity.
You will guide and inspire the nursing team, uphold high standards of practice, and lead by example. Working closely with experienced nurses and multidisciplinary colleagues, you will oversee the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of complex care pathways within a safe and supportive environment. In the absence of the Sister/ Charge Nurse, you will have the opportunity to step up and lead the unit, further developing your confidence, autonomy, and management skills.
We are committed to supporting your professional and personal growth. You will have access to leadership and clinical development programmes designed to enhance your skills and support your career progression — whether you aim to deepen your clinical expertise or move toward advanced leadership roles.
If you are an experienced Oncology nurse ready to take the lead in a respected, forward‑thinking unit, we would be delighted to hear from you. Join us and be part of a team shaping the future of cancer care.
At HCA UK we care about what you care about. We care that you want to deliver the very best care. We care that you want a career you can be proud of. We care that you want working conditions that support your health and wellbeing. Let us care for you and your career, the same way you do for others.
What you’ll bring:
Registered General Nurse with valid NMC pin
Significant post registration experience within haematology or oncology setting
Up to date knowledge and an experience on the administration of the SACT
