Salary: Competitive plus 4% Shift Allowance We’re looking for an experienced Scrub Theatre Practitioner – Spinal to join our Theatre team at The Wellington Hospital in London. Our teams deliver care across neurosurgery, spinal surgery, cardiac care, orthopaedics, acute neurological rehabilitation, gynaecology and cancer care. You’ll be working with leading consultants, modern equipment and a highly experienced multidisciplinary team who support one another and share knowledge openly.As a Scrub Theatre Practitioner specialising in spinal surgery, you’ll be part of a large and established theatre department where collaboration, learning and professional respect are central to how we work. Your day‑to‑day work will involve scrubbing for a wide range of spinal procedures, anticipating the needs of the surgical team and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the theatre suite, contributing to a calm, well‑organised environment where patients feel reassured and supported. Maintain high standards of patient safety, infection control and clinical governance
Work collaboratively across the theatre suite, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues
Prepare, check and manage specialist spinal instrumentation and equipment
Contribute to a positive, supportive theatre culture focused on continuous improvement
What you’ll bring:Proven experience scrubbing for spinal surgery cases
Current HCPC or NMC registration
A strong commitment to patient safety and high‑quality care
The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary theatre team
A professional, calm and organised approach within a busy theatre environment
