An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Prescribing Support Nurse to lead improvements in cost-effective and evidence based use of non-medicines in primary care, working closely with the Prescribing Support Unit team, passionate and friendly in their approach to delivering NHS Tayside's commitment to quality improvement in prescribing.

Your main responsibilities will be to support the delivery of safe, clinically effective and cost effective prescribing in non-medicines related prescribing - this will include wound management, continence and stoma products initially. You will work closely with specialist nurses in related fields, the primary care nursing directorate and individual nursing teams, as well as completing clinical audit and patient facing reviews. You will have excellent clinical knowledge, critical appraisal and communication skills to work as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team.

It is essential that you are a registered practitioner with the NMC. A postgraduate qualification (or demonstrate equivalent level of knowledge) and ability to deliver clinical or service improvements are essential.
