Salary offered is up to £43,156.00 depending on experience
The Harborne Hospital - part of HCA Healthcare UK is a brand new £100million, purpose built 50 bed, multi-speciality private hospital opening in Birmingham in 2023. Located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham campus, the hospital will have the deep clinical infrastructure, equipment and facilities and expert, experienced teams to deliver full clinical pathways across a mix of specialties and sub-specialties at all levels of complexity including Cardiology, Cancer and Complex Surgery. The Harborne Hospital is the 4th NHS partnership within this network, partnering with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust.
Role overview:
The successful candidate will have sufficient training and skills to enable them to work autonomously initially onsite and future hybrid working.
Onsite the candidate will be at our Birmingham city centre based Office and will conduct Occupational health vaccinations, phlebotomy clinics, and support staff in the management of Sharps and body fluids exposures in the workplace and review pre-placement questionnaires.
You will provide advice and guidance to line managers and HR in the management of complex case managements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The position would suit someone who can demonstrate the ability to take personal responsibility and work with minimum supervision.
Select, order and maintain supplies and equipment consistent with site needs to ensure adequate and appropriate supplies for OH activities are available.
Ensure that service delivery is efficient and effective, as well as delivering core activities within agreed target times and to required and agreed client employer standards.
Enable effective joint working between the OH team and the clients HR Teams.
Advise the client in the implementation of policies and procedures to achieve compliance with the medical aspects of H&S legislation.
Work with the clients HR team in implementing policy and practice and maintain a strong working relationship between OH and HR.
Skills and Experience
Registered General Nurse and experienced in occupational health, able to deliver a full OH remit– or equivalent (part 1 of NMC Register).
Registered on part 3 of NMC Register (Occupational Health desirable)
Educated to at least degree level (desirable)
Demonstrable OH experience required; in a multi-disciplinary organization in either the public or private sector (experience within the healthcare and corporate sectors advantageous).
Knowledge of the principles, tools, techniques and developments in OH sector.
Knowledge & experience of clinical governance within an OH setting
