Temporary contract until September 2027We’re looking for a Lead Theatre Practitioner to join our Liver and Complex Surgery team at The Wellington Hospital. The hospital is rated Outstanding for Surgery by the CQC.As a Lead Theatre Practitioner within our liver and complex surgery service, you’ll be part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team delivering care for some of the most complex surgical patients in the independent sector. Working within our busy theatre environment, you’ll play a key role in supporting clinical excellence, driving high standards of patient care and providing leadership to colleagues. This is an opportunity to further develop your expertise in advanced surgical procedures, including robotic surgery, while working alongside experienced clinicians committed to continuous learning, innovation and outstanding patient outcomes. Coordinate clinical activity within the theatre environment, ensuring excellent standards are maintained.
Support and develop colleagues through clinical leadership, coaching and day to day supervision.
Work collaboratively with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex liver and robotic surgical procedures.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance patient experience, safety and outcomes.

What you’ll bring:Current HCPC or NMC registration.
Extensive experience in liver surgery and complex surgical procedures.
Experience working within a UK theatre setting across a range of surgical specialties.
Previous team leadership or supervisory experience.
Experience supporting robotic surgery procedures.
