About the Role
Through strong clinical leadership the Head of Nursing (Surgical Services) will support Theatre Cath Lab and Departmental Matron to promote excellence in nursing to maintain and improve clinical standards and develop our business.
The Leadership Team at The Harley Street Clinic/LOC is currently recruiting for an experienced Head of Nursing (Surgical Services) undertake the responsibility of ensuring a high quality and safe delivery of the patient through the surgical pathway for pre-assessment to post procedure discharge. This will be achieved through strong clinical leadership. The post holder will be expected to be a specialist in their clinical area. The post holder will ensure that all patients are treated with compassion, dignity and respect placing value on the diversity of the local community and beyond. They will promote best practice in the prevention of infection through ensuring a clean and safe environment area.
Skills & Experience
First level registered Nurse.
Broad clinical experience relevant to the post.
Theatre management - a proven track record of operational service management at a senior level in an acute hospital environment, including staff management, financial management and change management.
Demonstrable previous success in leading and delivering change and performance with and through clinical teams, by engaging them in the strategic direction and delivery plans, establishing clear work priorities with them, delegating effectively, ensuring a capability to deliver, monitoring performance and giving feedback.
Proven ability to analyse complex problems and to develop and successfully implement practical and workable solutions to address them. Ability to think and plan strategically, tactically and creatively, and to prioritise work programs in the face of competing demands.
A strong sense of personal and team accountability coupled with a clear understanding of the boundaries around delegated authority.
Ability to collaborate constructively with internal and external partners to create the conditions for successful partnership working.
Well-developed leadership and influencing skills with the ability to enthuse, motivate and involve individuals and teams, and have them understand The Harley Street Clinic and your performance expectations.
Ability to be intellectually flexible and to look beyond existing structures, ways of working, boundaries and organisations to produce more effective and innovative service delivery and partnerships.
A commitment to improving patient services through an ability to sustain a clear performance focus on achieving demanding goals.
