Contract Type: FTC
Working Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours per week

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic Matron to lead the Inpatient Haematology Services at HCA at UCH. 
Leading as the Inpatient Haematology Matron you will work within your scope of professional practice to prioritise people, preserve safety and promote professionalism and trust in effectively managing our Haematology service to provide excellent, safe, effective and compassionate care
You will be patient focused and provide nursing leadership and direction for all nursing staff across the services managed and act as a point of contact for advice and expertise on all matters relating to both professional nursing and specific specialty issues. 
Acting as a role model of clinical leadership who inspires, motivates and empowers nurses within the service to deliver their best, the post holder is responsible for effectively managing the financial resources, ensuring the optimal deployment of the nursing workforce to ensure high-quality patient care is delivered and monitored.  This will require the post holder to contribute to both corporate and hospital initiatives and plans, particularly in respect of changes in patient care delivery and quality.

What you’ll bring:
NMC Registered Nurse
Evidence of a high level of clinical competence within defined specialties of Oncology
Chemotherapy trained
At least 5 years post registration experience
Demonstrable success in leading and delivering practice
Maintain own professional development
Commitment to improving patient care outcomes
Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
