Full time: 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri Permanent

We’re looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the team at The Portland Hospital, currently rated “Good” by the CQC and the only independent hospital in the UK entirely dedicated to women and children. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Paediatric Orthopaedics we’ll look to you to use your expertise to provide holistic and evidence-based care throughout the Orthopaedic pathway, working alongside a multi-disciplinary team but also autonomously as you oversee the patient journey. You’ll be an advocate for the patient, providing specialist nursing advice and emotional support throughout their journey with us while also driving service development and staff education. What you’ll bring:
Children’s Nursing Qualification – RN Child or RSCN with valid NMC registration
5 years post registration experience in Children’s nursing
Relevant qualification in paediatric orthopaedics with at least 12 months experience in specialist area
Mentorship qualification
Basic/Intermediate Paediatric Life Support
Experience of audit and research relevant to specialism
Knowledge of safeguarding processes, with up to date level 3 Safeguarding qualification
Knowledge of clinical governance and managing risk
