Child Protection Nurse Advisor - Child Protection Service
You will provide clinical and professional advice and support to a wide range of staff and will work as part of a team consisting of Chief Nurse, Head of CPS, Assistant Chief Nurse for Child Protection, Child Protection Advisors, Lead Paediatrician and GP (Special Interest), Administration Staff. You will be expected to have highly developed specialist knowledge of Child Protection which is underpinned by theory and experience, including prevention, protection, and inter-agency systems. An awareness of the issues and clarity about the way in which NHSGGC undertakes its responsibility with regards to Child Protection is essential. Professional knowledge acquired through Post Graduate certificate / Diploma/Masters in Child Protection /Vulnerability (completed or in progress). It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse or Midwife with the NMC and that you have a Post Graduate certificate/Diploma/Masters in Child Protection/Vulnerability. (completed or in progress). The shift pattern for this post is Monday - Friday.
