We are looking for nurses to provide high quality, evidence-based nursing care to the Residents admitted to our Home. Fairlie House has 45 bedrooms and is a complex care centre where we care for those who have brain and/or spinal injury. Fairlie House is at 2-6 Uffington Road, West Norwood, London, SE27 0RW. Our Staff Nurses work effectively within our Home, as part of the immediate team and the wider multi-disciplinary team (MDT).

Overview of role
To provide high quality, evidence-based nursing care to Residents admitted to the Home
To ensure that good standards of care for the Residents are maintained at all times
Involving and supporting Residents, relatives, carers and friends in the care process
Promoting wellbeing and involving Residents and relatives in health education
To deliver high quality, evidence-based and Resident focused clinical care
To work effectively as part of the immediate team and wider multi-disciplinary team (MDT)
Providing support and advice to staff (especially junior staff) on clinical and administrative issues
To uphold a duty of care and clinical governance
To maintain own and others' knowledge of clinical excellence
Participating in the Home's initiatives to develop nursing practice and to support change.
Maintaining the Resident's confidentiality, dignity and privacy at all times
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Experience needed
Ideally qualified applicants would have a minimum of 6 months post qualification experience; preferably in an intensive care, acute or high dependency unit setting and an awareness and interest in current neuro-health issues. A knowledge of tracheotomy and ventilator procedures would be beneficial.
Applicants will need to be RGN NMC registered; or to have completed and passed the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council's (NMC) self-assessment of their eligibility; plus they must have sat the NMC's CBT and achieved the required minimum score as well as met the NMC's requirements for registration.
Applicants will need to have a confident manner, be enthusiastic and have the ability to communicate at all levels, both internally and outside the organisation.
Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate their ability to work collaboratively with others and to solve problems effectively.
