The hospital is looking for a dynamic and hardworking ODP from a private or NHS setting to join this team on a full-time basis.

As a registered Operating Department Practitioner you will have experience relevant to your qualification including an active HCPC registration. The ideal candidate for this Theatre Scrub Practitioner position will be confident working in fast paced and high-pressured environment. You will have experience working in a similar role and be confident supervising and supporting clinical staff in the delivery of care. You will be confident working closely with consultants and other professionals and thrive on the pressure of theatre work. For this role you will need a thorough understanding on all theoretical and practical developments within nursing and be able to act as a mentor to junior members of staff.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing the highest standards of nursing care to a caseload of patients
  • Planning, assessing, implementing and evaluating individual person-centred care plans
  • Adhering to Care Quality Commission standards for quality care provision
  • Fully complying with all policies and procedures
  • Supervise and monitor standards of care and take appropriate action to improve standards when required
  • Ensure all clinical documentation is well maintained and filed in the appropriate places

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Registered Practitioner with relevant experience & registration (ODP)
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role
  • Up to date clinical experience
  • Current and valid registration with the NMC and a legal right to work in the UK
