We are looking for experienced Tutors and Assessors for the delivery of the Level 5 Healthcare Assistant Practitioner Apprenticeship standard and associated qualifications. We deliver this Apprenticeship in a range of Health and Health and Social Care settings across the country and have opportunities for Tutors in the north and south of the UK, including the Suffolk, Dorset and Manchester areas.
Our expanding team of Freelance Apprenticeship Tutors operates flexibly across the UK, directing and delivering high quality training programmes and assessments to thousands of individuals each year.

Working with both large and small employers this qualification is part of a portfolio of health and wellbeing Apprenticeships offered by YMCA Training. Assistant Practitioners work as part of the range of healthcare and social care teams and have direct contact with patients, service users or clients providing high quality and compassionate care. The role requires workers to have a more in-depth understanding about factors that influence health and ill-health (e.g. anatomy and physiology). The assistant practitioner may also have responsibility for the supervision of other workers or activities delegated by registered healthcare practitioners.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of a L5 Clinical Healthcare Qualification, Registered General Nurse (RGN) or State Enrolled Nurse (SEN) qualification or a degree in Nursing or equivalent with recent practical experience in nursing and clinical areas. A proven track record of delivering and assessing Health Care Practitioner qualifications. They will be a qualified and experienced teacher and hold the relevant assessor qualifications (TAQA, D32, D34 or A1. They will need a proven track record in the delivery of Level 5 clinical qualifications and the associated elements of the apprenticeship standard including Functional Skills up to L2. They will have experience of delivering the qualification within a workplace setting as part of an Apprenticeship programme, delivering formal teaching and learning group sessions and individual support sessions and progress reviews.
This high level qualification requires an individual with the necessary vocational experience and experience of delivering complex and in-depth knowledge and practice. It also requires and flexible and adaptable approach required to fit around the industry specific requirements found in the Health sector.
