Registered Nurse - Manchester
My client is currently looking to recruit 3 General Nurses to join their Endoscopy teams across their three endoscopy sites across the Greater Manchester area. These units are located across three NHS hospitals and in place to reduce NHS waiting times on Endoscopy lists.
You will be required to travel between all three sites, so your own transport is important, though mileage will be reimbursed. This position is working Saturday and Sundays only between the hours of 9am - 7pm and 8am - 6pm.
Role Purpose & Core Responsibilities:
To provide quality planned care for patients during care for patients during their peri operative phase of care
To support and assist in the management and organisation of care provision within the Operating Department
Assist in the delivery of patient care
Contribute to quality improvement
Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of others and self
Promote best evidence based practice within own scope of practice
Apply legislation, policies and procedures correctly
Respect the patient's dignity, privacy, wishes and beliefs
Relevant post-registration study e.g. specialist pathway
Demonstrable record of Continuing Professional Development
Skills/ Abilities & Knowledge
Good communication skills
Ability to supervise unqualified staff
Ability to co-ordinate a shift for the department
Knowledge of clinical and non-clinical governance issues
At least 6 months post registration experience
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Relate well to all staff and patients
Positive attitude to change and a willingness to be instrumental in change
