The Aspens are a dedicated rehabilitation service for women, with a fantastic record of moving people into less secure settings and community placements. Dedicated clinical teams provide a multi-disciplinary input including occupational therapy, psychology, psychiatry and vocational training.
We are currently seeking motivated and passionate individuals to enhance our nursing team. Working with female patients, you will be encouraged to contribute to, and influence the development of active care. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you must be able to show initiative, demonstrating clear decision making and organisational skills. You will be responsible for the co-ordination, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual patient programs of care. You will have a focus on risk assessment and risk assessment strategies, ensuring that the requirements of the care program approach are met. Additionally you will support empowerment of the patients with particular regard to their dignity, rights and advice.
Full induction training is given. You will also learn from some of the most dedicated and inspirational people in our profession and just like our service users you will be learning all the time through our on-going mentoring and support.
-Be fully conversant with the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and it’s recent updates
-Have an understanding of the latest nursing practices
-Have knowledge of PSI, as well as the local and national agenda’s that impact on nursing practice and patient care
-A working understanding of CQC essential standards is required for this post.
Candidates with experience in Mental Health and/or Personality Disorder environments would be more desirable.
