We are looking for an enthusiastic, efficient and motivated Staff Nurse for Schools to become part of our Mid Argyll Children and Families Health Team. The School health service is committed to providing the best service available for children and young people in schools.
This post holder will work in partnership with all members of the Children and Families Health Team, child health, CAMHS, Education and council partners. You will have responsibility for the locality schools caseload which will including child health screening, delivery of health improvement programmes, early and effective intervention and immunisation programmes.
Under the management and supervision of the Team Leader you will be required to manage your time and workload and have the ability to liaise effectively with multi professionals and agencies. Accordingly, your interpersonal and communication skills must be of the highest order.
It is essential that you are a NMC registered Nurse. You should be able to evidence your continuing professional development while also evidencing your ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. You should have excellent IT, processing, communication, leadership and problem solving skills.
You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Argyll & Bute to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
