The Princess Grace Hospital has 127 registered beds, including 90 inpatient, 21 day case, 8 endoscopy, an urgent care unit and a Level 3 intensive care unit containing 9 beds, with 24-hour consultant cover and a high dependency unit. The hospital also has a several specialised centres, including; The London Breast Institute, recognised as one of the best private breast screening and diagnostic treatment centres in the UK; the London Digestive Centre, a highly specialised outpatient facility offering diagnoses and treatments for all conditions of the stomach, small and large intestines, liver, pancreas, and bile ducts; and The Institute of Sport Exercise and Health, a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to sport and exercise medicine.
As a Theatre Recovery Practioner, you will Responsible for the total nursing care of individual patients within the recovery area and ensure recovery criteria is adhered to before discharging patients. In addition to this, you will also actively contribute to the maintenance of an environment that is conducive to the delivery and promotion of a high standard of patient care.
This is a full time role working 37.5hrs per week (typically 5 x 7.5 hour shifts between the hours of 0700 – 2100), with participation in the on call rota.
The attractive and competitive salary for this role is £33,037 - £36,709 and will be dependent upon skills and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver a consistently high standard of patient care utilising evidence based practice
- Assessing, planning, delivering and evaluation of post-operative patient care
- Prepare the recovery in readiness to admit patients after surgical procedures
- Ensure all equipment is checked prior to use and any faults reported to the Theatre Co-ordinator immediately.
- Prepare patients and provide assistance for clinical/operative procedures
Skills & Experience
- Registered nurse or ODP
- Recovery experience in a range of surgical specialities
- Experience in assisting with planning and implementing of post-operative care
- Able to work as part of a multi disciplinary team
