Location: The Christie Private Care - Manchester 
Full time hours, 37.5 hours per week 
Permanent Contract
Salary: from £28,309-£34,599 dependent on skills & experience, a £5k Golden Hello, Shift Allowance + Benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits and excellent career development)

HCA Healthcare UK has developed a dedicated private centre in partnership with The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester. The Christie Private Care treats private patients with a full range of diagnostic, inpatient, surgical, day case and outpatient treatment all on one site. 
 
The haematology unit enables nurses to deliver high standards of holistic care to their patients as we run on a low nurse to patient ratio (1:3). We deal with patients who have a variety of haematological malignancies. This includes the delivery of systemic anti-cancer treatments for acute leukaemia, high grade lymphomas and multiple myeloma and managing side effects of these treatments. Frequently this cohort of patients go on to require stem cell transplant as their best treatment option and we deliver both allograft and autograft transplants on the unit.
 
We individualise care to the need of each patient, providing full treatment plans from diagnostic assessments to surgery, chemotherapy and anti-cancer drug therapies, radiotherapy and supportive care. 
 
The Role:
As a Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for supporting the experienced nursing team to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of specialist care to ensure that patients are cared for in a safe, caring and comfortable environment. This will include meeting their medical, physical and emotional needs by effectively communicating with the patient and their families.
 
We are looking for an experienced staff nurse to work within our haematology/oncology ward. We understand that cancer care is a challenging field and our friendly team work closely together to adopt a supportive culture. The experienced nursing team and Clinical Practice Facilitator (CPF) will work with you to ensure that you have the knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional care in a supportive environment that values your wellbeing.
 
Skills & Experience: 
·         NMC Registered nurse
·         NHS or Private Hospital experience 
·         Surgical, Medical or Oncology experience is a must
