About the Trust – Rated ‘Good’ in their most recent CQC report, Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH) provides inpatient and community-based mental health care for Bolton, Manchester, Salford, Trafford and Wigan. What you’ll be responsible for
To provide care and support to service users within the BBST clinical team in line with their recovery care plan under the direction and supervision of the Line Manager/Assistant Practitioner/Registered nursing staff
· To contribute to the assessment of service users needs
· To contribute to the care planning and review process for individual service users
· To assist with the collection of health screening samples as requested, e.g. urine screening, breathalysing, pregnancy testing under the supervision of the registered nursing staff
To contribute to the updating of service users records to inform the assessment, care planning and review process
· To undertake Venepuncture and ECGs under direction of registered staff on duty
You’ll have the following qualification/experience:
**ILS PMVA BLS can be provided by Trust if necessary** plus induction
· A minimum of 6 months paid experience in an Acute hospital environment within the last 3 years
System Knowledge of Paris- Desirable
· To promote health and well being at all times and support service users to address their physical and mental health needs (e.g. drug & alcohol use, diet, depression, anxiety, relationships, housing, education, training, and employment) in line with their care plan under the direction and supervision of the Line Manager/Senior Practitioner/registered nursing staff on duty
· Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices
· Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance with CHS policy and NMC guidelines
· Undertake regular mandatory training*
*Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
