The Institute of Sport Exercise and Health (ISEH) is a specialised outpatient and diagnostic facility centrally located on Tottenham Court Road. The Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health (ISEH) aims is to be the leading institute for sports and exercise medicine in the world. ISEH is a specialised sports medicine outpatient and diagnostic facility located on Tottenham Court Road, London.  Its mission is to provide excellence in the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of sports injuries and illnesses, whilst bridging the gap between elite sport and recreational physical activity to support the improvement of the health of the nation.

The ISEH is part of The Princess Grace Hospital umbrella. The Princess Grace Hospital is recognised as one of the best-equipped multidisciplinary private hospitals in the capital. Our dedicated and highly trained team are committed to delivering exemplary clinical care across all specialties. The Princess Grace Hospital has 127 registered beds, including 90 inpatient, 21 day case, 8 endoscopy, an urgent care unit and a Level 3 intensive care unit containing 9 beds, with 24-hour consultant cover and a high dependency unit.

Job Description

We want staff who are passionate about helping individuals make a difference to their sport, lives, and health. As such, we are seeking a Staff Nurse to work at ISEH, where you will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of nursing care.

This is a Part time role working 22.5 hrs per week. Our facilities are open Monday – Friday and requires flexible internal rotation; shift pattern hours are 07:45 to 18:15 and 07:45 to 20:15.

Duties & Responsibilities
To demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and to be accountable for own actions
Assess, plan and deliver care to meet patient and family needs
Undertake extended roles such as phlebotomy
Contribute to research based care and other practice development initiatives
Contribute to the setting of clinical standards, policy and procedure
Promote good communication channels amongst staff enhancing good team work
To maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
To deputise for senior staff in their absence, demonstrating leadership and management
Respect and ensure patients privacy and confidentiality

Skills & Experience
Registered Nurse Level 1
UKCC Registration and PREP requirements
ENB course/experience relevant to specialist area is desirable
Knowledge of relevant NMC/national guidelines, policies and procedures (Code of conduct)
Experience in sport medicine, orthopaedics and / or outpatient services is desirable.
Phlebotomy training desirable
Basic Life Support
