Ellingham hospital is a 35 bedded hospital offering assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to young people within the age range of 12 to 18 years old and adults 18-65 years.
Cherry oak ward is a low secure 10 bedded mixed unit and caters specifically to the needs of young people who are experiencing significant mental health difficulties and also demonstrate some level of functional impairment, which may be attributable to a learning disability, a neurodevelopmental diagnosis (e.g. autism, ADHD). Woodlands is a 10 bedded adolescent mixed ward catering specifically for young people who are experiencing significant mental health difficulties and also demonstrate some level of functional impairment, which may be attributable to a learning disability, a neurodevelopmental diagnosis (e.g. autism, ADHD), or another neurological issue (e.g. brain injury).
Redwood consists of 2 wards for adults age 18 and over with an acute mental health problems.
The post holder will be responsible for the overall management of the hospital site throughout the night and to take referrals for the adult ward. You will be expected to co-ordinate staffing and respond to Clinical incidents. You will need to attend the wards to provide planned and unplanned support / supervision to staff on duty. You will also provide some line management to and appraisal for staff predominantly working nights.
To be suitable for this role, you must hold a valid nursing qualification & NMC registration.
