An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic nurse to work within the Infection Prevention & Control Team. Applications are invited from experienced Registered Nurses who have specific infection prevention & control experience and who wish to gain further expertise in a Senior Infection Prevention & Control role.
The IPC service is a small, experienced team who facilitate the prevention, surveillance, investigation and control of infection across NHS Grampian. The successful candidate should have recent, relevant IPC experience and will be supported to further develop their IPC skill and experience.
The successful candidate should have experience of IPC and be able to provide sound leadership, experience and be an excellent role model.
The candidate will be responsible for overseeing IPC service delivery to specific areas within NHS Grampian whilst also assisting colleagues on a day by day basis. They will have responsibility for the teaching, supervision and assessment of students and junior members of nursing staff.
This is a great development opportunity for a Band 6 nurse or an existing band 7 to gain experience in all aspects of a challenging department.
