Mental Health Nurse

The Client

Our Client is a nationwide, NHS partnered independent Healthcare Group specialising in mental health and complex care. They provide rehabilitation, community services and residential care to patients and service users across the UK

The Role

* Assist fellow staff in assessing, planning and evaluating each client's care programme whilst adhering to confidentiality rules

* Ensure familiarity with hospital safety procedures and protocols whilst working to maintain such security

* Manage effectively challenging situations and demonstrate emotional self-regulation

* Follow all safety guidelines and procedures both Statutory and Internal, with an emphasis on the Mental Health Act 1983

* Promote and safeguard the well-being of all the service users displaying empathy and compassion

* Provide high standards of cleanliness and comfort at all times whilst adhering to Health and Safety rules

* Ensure reports are up-to-date including care plans, risk assessments and reviews

* Supervise and oversee the secure and safe administration of medication

* Act within the remits of the NHS framework and NMC Code of Professional Conduct

Things you need

* Mental Health Nursing Degree

* Minimum 2 years experience working as a Mental Health Nurse Post-Registration

* Up-to-date clinical experience of mental health and current NMC Registration

* Ability to act own your own initiative with excellent communication skills

* Calm, rational and attentive
