Mental Health Nurse
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a mental health nurse to join a community mental health team for working age adults (18-65) based in Middlesbrough. If you feel you are passionate about caring for those with mental health difficulties and you can provide high quality care to those who rely on the service this could be an excellent step forward in your career. Working as a mental health nurse for this team would involve taking on a case-load and providing appropriate care for the adults who are experiencing difficulties in their mental health with a mix between psychosis and non psychosis.
To be successful in this role you must display excellent skills in communication and use your knowledge to provide high quality care to the service users who will rely on your help. Day to day tasks in this role would include: supporting services, providing risk assessments, creating care plans and making referrals. You will also be managing a case load and insuring your service users are receiving regular treatments to meet their needs following a care plan.

The role as a mental health nurse is to begin work as soon as possible and is due to run until November with the possibility of extension. The role is full time and working hours per week are 30-37.5 Monday-Friday. The role is for a band 6 nurse and is based in Middlesbrough which is close to local shops.

As a mental health nurse working for this client your duties will include:
Working along side other services to help patients including, social workers, OT's and consultant psychiatrists
*Spending time with regular patients who require their medication to be administered within the clinic
*Carrying a caseload and helping with care plans for patients
*Managing psychoeducation with patients
*Supporting patients to work towards living independently within the community
*Providing high quality care to help prevent patient hospital admissions
The minimum requirements for this role are:
- NMC registered
- Registered Mental Health Nurse
