Health Care Support Worker - Surgery and Anaesthetics

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse you will provide a high quality, safe and supportive environment in order to care for patients within a surgical setting, meeting the identified physical and emotional needs. You should have effective communication skills, the ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment, ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team and to fulfil the requirement of the job description including NiCHE (National Incremental Competencies in Health Care Education) programme is essential. Previous NHS Experience, an interest in surgical care and an SVQ qualification in health related discipline are desirable. The shift pattern is variable, it will include 12 hour day and nights.
