Who are Kernow Health CIC
We are a Community Interest Company, supporting General Practice and the delivery of Primary Care Services at scale throughout Cornwall.
Established in May 2011 by a group of Cornwall Practices, we are a GP owned provider organisation and deliver several NHS contracts, which include Cornwall 111 Integrated Urgent Care Service, School Immunisation Programme, Children’s Eating Disorder Service and the Cornwall Training Hub.
In addition to the above, we actively recruit for a plethora of roles across a range PCN’s, which means we have an extremely appealing portfolio of employment options for GPN’s to explore. Ultimately, Cornwall is one of, if not the most beautiful location in the UK, which makes for a great playground to explore when you are not treating patients.
Where will I be working?
North and East ICA covers 5 primary care networks (PCNs) in Coast and Country, East Cornwall, Launceston and Tamar Valley, North Cornwall, and Three Harbours and Bosvena. It provides services to a total patient population of approximately 186,500, ranging from East Cornwall PCN, the largest in Cornwall, to smaller practices with around 20,000. It is served by two community hospitals in Bodmin and Stratton and spans the acute hospital both in Truro, and across the border into Plymouth.
North and East Cornwall offers a mix of beaches such as Bude and Port Isaac, market towns in Launceston and Callington, coastal harbours in Fowey, Looe, and Padstow, and rural landscape in Bodmin Moor and the Camel Estuary.
