Spire Gatwick Park has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Healthcare Professional to join our Clinical Governance team as a Clinical Governance Lead. The successful candidate will work closely with The Head of Integrated Governance & Quality, Director of Clinical Services and Hospital Director, in supporting the Clinical Governance strategy within the hospital.
Spire Gatwick Park Hospital is just a few miles away from Gatwick Airport. Central London and Victoria station are a 30-minute train ride away. The Hospital consists of 2 Outpatient areas, plus a Bupa Health Assessment Centre. There are 2 ward areas with 29 single rooms, an enhanced recovery unit with a 16 bedded day care unit and five single rooms. There are also 3 Operating theatres - 2 with laminar flow.
This unmissable opportunity will suit a healthcare professional with demonstrable knowledge of clinical governance, audits, patient safety agendas, great attention to detail, fairness in investigation and management of complaints and incidents. You will work with the Clinical Governance Manager to ensure that robust governance and risk systems are in place and that effective learning and continuous development takes place across the organisation.
Duties and responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Governance Manager, you will take an active role in providing guidance and support on clinical governance and patient safety across the Hospital. This will include supporting all clinical governance and patient safety activities within the Hospital, providing assurance of full compliance with all relevant clinical standards. You will challenge existing practices, ensuring that progressive solutions are incorporated into Hospital Plans and are implemented.
You will have excellent IT skills and understanding of patient safety and a 'just culture' ,able to produce detailed reports with analytical narrative but above all has a passion and commitment to be part of the division who puts patient quality and safety first.
Who we're looking for:
- Be NMC/HCPC registered - your pin should not have any restrictions or conditions
- Proven experience in clinical and hospital governance
- Enable and provide assurance of full compliance with all clinical incident management, complaints, investigations and actions, closing the loop to learning.
- Excellent communicator
