Priory Heathfield Hospital is a Neuro Rehabilitation and long term Neuro-Conditions Service in Broad Oak, East Sussex which provides specialist nursing care, rehabilitation and support for individuals with neurological conditions, including acquired brain injuries. The hospital accommodates both Detained and Informal patients.
Nursing and therapy programmes are tailored for each individual and goals are developed in conjunction with patients and their families to best reflect aspiration. Individuals are supported to take part in activities they enjoy, including sensory experiences, and families are encouraged to be involved through regular review meetings.
The Charge Nurse leads and supervises the clinical team, consisting of nurses and HCAs. The role requires an experienced RMN or RGN who has the skills to assist with evaluation through clinical governance and audit, support and lead on patient feedback mechanisms such as surveys, community meetings etc. The successful candidate will be an effective communicator between the medical and nursing staff and possss excellent verbal and written communication skills. In essence the Charge Nurse provides leadership to staff to help achieve unit objectives and quality patient care.
