Great Ocean Road Health is a rural public health service that has campuses at Lorne and Apollo Bay
in So uth West Victoria, Australia. Our community members are offered acute hospital beds, residential
aged care beds, a renal dialysis unit (Lorne), a 24 hour urgent care service, medical centres,
community health care and in -home support services.

Key Responsibilities
To lead the team of clinical nurses and carers
Be responsible for the effective and efficient management of the Clinical Aged Care Divisi on after
hours and at weekends
To triage and thoroughly assess clients prese nting at the Urgent Care Unit and assist the Medical
Officer/Nurse Practitioner on call
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
• Eligibility for registration as a medical practitioner with the Medical board of Australia (AHPRA)
• At least 3 years RN experience including aged care, acute and urgent care
• A passion for patient centered care and commitment to delivering excellence in clinical care
• Strong Leadership and interpersonal skills - able to lead, coach and mentor staf f
• Demonst rate the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi -disciplinary team.
• Demonstrate a r ecord of professional behaviour
Essential Selection Criteria
• Eligibly for registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulations Agency ( AHPRA )
• Australian work rights or eligibility for sponsorship .
• Demonstrated recency of practice within the last 24 months
Offers of employment will be conditional on relevant organisational pre -employment screening
approvals including but not limited to an Internation al Criminal History Check and Professional
Reference Checks.
All prospective employees are required to complete a n Immunisation Pre -employment
Questionnaire and provide documented evidence of current immunisation and must be willing to
participate in Grea t Ocean Road Health’s annual immunisation program. In accordance with
Commonwealth & State Public Health Directives, COVID 19 Vaccine is a condition of employment.
