About The Ward
Oak is a 9 bedded in patient unit, which benefits from an extensive MDT, this includes a very experienced consultant psychiatrist, an OT, a Psychologist, RMN's/RGN's, HCA's and a Dietitian, amoungst other professionals that . All of which work together to provide an holisitc service to our patients admitted for treatment for an Eating Disorder.
The Nurse that is appointed should have experience of working within Eating Disorders and other mental health services, who works well as a team and is able to act as nurse in charge of their shifts.
The day to day roles of an EDU nurse invloves: coordinating the shift, supporting patients with meals and snacks, NG feeding (if necessary), attendng MDT, CPA's and tribunals, administration of medication and assisting with community rehabiliation work, where appropriate.The Priory is able to offer EDU training and NG training, which will be highly beneficial within the role.
