Acting Charge Nurse
Llanarth Court Hospital is a 114 bedded forensic hospital providing a secure environment consisting of medium, low and open rehabilitation settings for men and women with mental illness and or personality disorder.
We have an acting up Charge Nurse vacancy for a fixed month term of up to 9 months You will need to have a RNLD/RMN qualification and be a Priory Level 4 Staff Nurse or NHS Senior Staff Nurse. It is also desirable to have experience in a forensic setting though a keen desire to work in this challenging field is necessary. The charge nurse role will be to support the ward manager in managing a secure ward with patient's under the mental health act who have a diagnosis of mental health, personality disorder and or learning disability needs. The role will require being a clinical lead and an understanding and knowledge of patient's needs is essential.You will need to demonstrate the ability to assess and teach junior staff and have good leadership skills.
