Job Description

As a senior member of the Governance Team the role is integral in working with stakeholders and supporting teams to identify areas for improvement and develop robust system, process and programs that will lead to the delivery of exceptional care and service. 

To be the primary point of contact between Head Office and the facility with regards to audit, compliance with CQC regulations, CHKS and the inspections processes.  To lead and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment across the site to maintain a standardised approach to managing CQC readiness though the audit program.

To be able to influence effectively, create synergy, prioritise projects, set goals and actions plans and measure impact.

This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week

The attractive and competitive salary for this role is between £46,400 - £54,134 and will be dependent upon skills and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Implementation and monitoring of systems and processes by working with Head of Governance to develop robust monitoring program that provide assurance for CQC compliance
  • Implementation and monitoring of the audit program  including working with Head of Departments (HoDs) to develop robust action plans that provide improvements to care and the service delivered
  • Site lead and link with HCA UK corporate team for audit and sharing best practice across sites
  • Under the direction of the Head of Governance and HCA UK Clinical Services Team act as the site lead for compliance including being the main liaison with HCA UK for CQC and CHKS inspections
  • Work with the HCA UK Corporate Clinical Services Department and local HoD to ensure a standardised approach to CQC inspection compliance is maintained.
  • Development, implementation and monitoring of a robust NICE Guidance program to ensure that guidance is assessed and practice/policy is in line with best practice.  Including maintenance of audit trail of gap analysis and changes to practice
  • Development, implementation and monitoring of a robust CAS alert process to ensure that alerts are assessed and practice/policy is in line with best practice.  Including maintenance of audit trail of response, gap analysis and action planning if required to changes to process or practice
  • Develop quality assurance and development of audit program to support the action plans that support improvements and embed learning across the organisation from incidents and complaints.

Skills & Experience

• A clinical qualification and experience in audit, quality outcomes

• A personal connection and drive to deliver exceptional care and service to patients and staff

• Experience and knowledge of clinical governance, risk management and quality improvement

• Be able to work closely with consultants in supporting the change process

• Be able to understand and use information technology to drive process changes

• Have excellent interpersonal communication skills

• Have good time management skills; including working to tight deadlines and be flexible to meet the needs of the organisation
