VACANCY (Post Title): Registered Nurse: Pregnancy Immunisation & Screening

Women's OPD, DGRI.

GRADE: Band 5

SALARY: GBP24,670 to GBP30,742

HOURS: 37.5hpw, Permanent

Description of Role:

NHS Dumfries and Galloway's 'Women, Children and Sexual Health Directorate' is looking to appoint a Band 5 nurse to the Womens Outpatients Team to help support and develop pregnancy screening and immunisation services as recommended by the Scottish Pregnancy and Newborn Screening programme and the Scottish Vaccination Transformation programme. Previous experience in immunisation and / or screening services is desirable but not essential however, in the absence of previous specific experience you will need to be self-motivated and committed to develop knowledge and understanding in these areas. You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills and have the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of the wider multidisciplinary team.

The post is based in Womens Outpatients Department, DGRI but occasional travel to other sites across the region may be required so a driving license would be advantageous.
