Nelson House is a modern and spacious 30 bed hospital catering for adult males, comprising of three wards. Victory Ward is an Assessment and Treatment service providing focused, personalised and proactive assessments and treatment interventions for patients with Learning Disability who present with complex needs and behaviors that may challenge. Trafalgar and Mary Rose Wards are rehabilitation and recovery services for patients with a long term mental illness who require intensive recovery support to move to a more independent setting. By having a focus on the development of skills for independence all wards provide a positive step for patients, many whose next step will be living in the community.

At Nelson House Hospital we are looking for committed Bank workers who are passionate about offering high quality care to patients across our 3 wards.

This role would suit someone who would like flexibility in their working pattern, allowing them to take shifts around other commitments and receive weekly pay.

As a Bank Recovery Support Worker you will be working as part of a team that includes a range of professionals.

To be successful in this role you will need to have good communication skills, excellent team working skills, be highly self-motivated with a flexible and commonsense approach to problem solving, and have some appreciation of Learning & Developmental needs and Mental Health needs.


You will be required to be qualified to GCSE standard (or equivalent) and an NVQ (or equivalent) would be an advantage.
