The Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is a specialist provider of complex mental health services, providing clinical excellence in our eating disorders, adolescent, rehabilitation and PICU services.
Young People’s Service:
Cheadle Royal Hospital operates a comprehensive inpatient mental health service for young people aged between 13 and 18 years, comprising open acute and psychiatric intensive care services.
Orchard is a 15 bedded mixed acute ward for young people aged 13 - 18 with a range of mental health needs.
We provide a structured and safe environment. We have a highly skilled multidisciplinary group who can offer a wide range of interventions.
We strive to work in collaboration with all disciplines; including working very closely with families / carers to ensure that all care provided enhances the recovery process to the maximum.
An opportunity has arisen for a part time Acitivty Coordinator on our Orchard Ward.
This post is at the level of a Lead Healthcare Assistant. A background in Healthcare is desirable and the successful candidate will be motivated and confident to engage the young people on this ward in a range of activities.
The job holder will coordinate social and recreational activities for service users. This will include activities such as arts & crafts, quiszzes, competitions, games and projects.
You will be expected to run a programme of activities with a specific client group. This will include weekday evenings between 5.30pm and 9.00pm and also during the day at weekends. Times and days can be negotiated.
