Advanced Nurse Practitioner - Mental Health Rehabilitation
I am recruiting for an experienced Registered General Nurse (RGN) with significant post registration experience including the V300 qualification to join this specialist Mental Health care provider as Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Chester, Cheshire. My client is a well-respected mental health care provider of inpatient and transitional rehabilitation programmes with state of the art facilities. The small service provides care to those diagnosed with conditions including Multiple Sclerosis, neurodegenerative disorders, ABI and neuromuscular disorders.
In your role as Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) you will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, to meet and deliver care relevant to the needs of your patients. It is expected that you will work as an autonomous and accountable practitioner who can work collaboratively to determine a differential diagnosis and initiate appropriate treatment and care. You will provide nursing leadership and act as a mentor to junior members of staff and healthcare assistants. In this role it is expected that you will only work within your professional scope of practice, adhere to professional boundaries and be accountable for providing care from admission onwards.
You will have experience working in a similar role in a hospital or clinic setting. You will be competent across a range of clinical skills and be able to use advanced critical thinking to analyse and interpret history, symptoms and diagnostic information. The ideal candidate will be confident in the management of patients to incorporate physiological, psychological and pharmacological considerations. You will be expected to involve the patients in all aspects of their care and provide patients with comprehensive information regarding any clinical intervention.

The ideal candidate must possess the following:
- Registered Nurse qualified currently working at Advanced Practitioner level
- Evidence of competency in teaching and assessing
- Non-medical prescribing qualification V300
- Post graduate diploma (PH dip) in Advanced Practice
- Post registration experience
- Current and valid registration with the NMC and a legal right to work in the UK
