Senior Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)

Roehampton - acute, PICU or forensics

Salary: £32,458 to £35,608 pa & £9,000 starting bonus

Pulse is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Registered mental health nurse (RMN) , to work in a 39 bedded purpose-built psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU) for adults who have suffered an acute deterioration or relapse in their mental wellbeing in the South London area.

You will provide leadership and guidance for junior staff. The RMN will also actively participate in patient care, whilst being responsible for the efficient and effective planning, implementing and evaluating of patient care plans.

You will have experience working in a similar role, ensure that standards of care are maintained and be aware of the need to implement change. You will be participating in clinical reviews, nursing reviews ensuring accurate feedback on patient care is delivered.

Be required to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, visitors, carers, members of the multi-disciplinary care team and senior professional and managerial staff. Conform at all times to the Policies and Procedures of the Company, with particular regard to confidentiality, financial and administrative responsibilities, and treat patients, colleagues and visitors with dignity and respect at all times.

Salary: £32,458 to £35,608 pa & £9,000 starting bonus

Responsibilities for this role

  • Administering drugs and checking/ preparations in accordance with policy and procedures manual.
  • Teaching and supervising patients acquiring skills in daily living e.g. personal hygiene, shopping, social skills, etc.
  • Reports and record incidents and accidents in accordance with policy and procedures manual and document same
  • Adhere to hospital operational policies and clinical procedures at all times.
