CAMHS Charge Nurse
Set back within 1.5 acres of landscaped gardens, the tranquil environment of the Priory Hospital Southampton offers therapeutic and recovery focused residential treatment as well as day care and outpatient services.
Priory Hospital Southampton provides 40 beds across 3 wards. The services provided at the hospital include a young peoples ward (CAMHs) and treatment of most psychiatric conditions and Eating Disorders.
We have a highly experienced team of mental health professionals and support staff, which include consultant psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses and therapists..
6 months fixed term contract. The Charge Nurse will be based on our CAMHS (Young peoples ward) to take an active role in management of the ward, under the supervision of the Deputy Ward manager and Ward Manager, and to take charge in their absence. The role holder will be expected to participate fully with the clinical team and undertake direct patient care.
Applicants must be self-motivated with good communication skills and leadership experience.
Applicants should have the following experience/qualifications:
• Mentorship Qualification (preferred not essential)
• The ability to lead and motivate others
• A genuine interest in quality service delivery and development
• The ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
• Numeracy and evidence of analytical ability
• Experience of working with young people
