Closing date: 17 January 2019

At AXA, putting our customers’ health first is our priority. Our talented teams across the UK include Nurses, Doctors, Physiotherapists, Physiologists, and Occupational Health Technicians. They all share one thing in common: they’re proud to empower people to live better, safer lives, placing our customers at the heart of everything they do to create better services and experiences

What you will be doing

The role of Clinical Manager involves providing vital clinical leadership and strategic direction to our Clinical Centre and helping to develop a range of clinical pathways. You’ll be actively involved in the development and adjudication of medical policy by working closely with the Chief Medical Officer and her team to support and strengthen service delivery across our UK healthcare business. Leading a large specialist team and providing them with vital complex case management support, ensuring robust medical referral processes are in place and implementing and promoting quality measurements – you’ll do all of this, and more. In short, it’s a great chance to become a clinical role model in a highly visible role that will ensure we continue to deliver a quality service to our members.

Rewards and benefits

As well as a supportive and rewarding working culture, you'll enjoy all of the benefits you’d expect from a company ranked in The Sunday Times 25 Best Big Companies to work for (for the tenth year running). We offer 28 days' holiday, a bonus, company car allowance, generous company pension scheme, share options and private medical insurance.

Who are we looking for?

AXA encourages and empowers its employees to better equip themselves in the working environment and with the ‘Dare to Change’ campaign AXA is more focused on the right attitude rather than meeting all the desired technical skills. Below are some of the skills that may be beneficial (but not essential) in this role:

  • We’re looking for a strategic thinker with a nursing degree, clear leadership skills, significant clinical expertise and knowledge of products, providers, the PMI market and the NHS.
  • Someone with vision and drive who is as comfortable discussing complex clinical issues as they are leading people and process in a customer focused corporate environment.
  • A great relationship builder, with strong influencing and negotiating skills, a flair for taking and articulating difficult decisions will be key to your success too.
  • You’ll also need an innate ability to combine clinical capability and commercial knowledge to manage a team and help shape policy.

We are an Equal Opportunities Employer.
