Tasmania is a boutique state of Australia and offers opportunities for nurses and psychiatrists wanting to work in mental health, across a range of services.

Tasmania has one public health service and there are opportunities for health professionals across our teams in Mental Health, Correctional Primary Health, Forensic Mental Health and Alcohol and Drug Services.

Exciting new initiatives such as the Mental Health Hospital in the Home service form part of plans to expand the capacity of specialist mental health services in Southern Tasmania.

The dynamic multi-disciplinary teams deliver care in a diverse range of settings throughout Tasmania. These include community, acute inpatient and rehabilitation services across the lifespan and in both urban and rural environments.

There are opportunities to work in Nursing, Psychiatry, Clinical Psychology and Allied Health across our services. Our services are provided across Tasmania through the Tasmanian Health Service – Northern, North West and Southern regions.
