Spire Tunbridge Wells Hospital have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Pre-assessment Nurse. The successful applicant will provide exemplary planned care to all patients in pre-assessment and within the Outpatient Department. You will maintain and develop a professional working relationship with all client groups, ensuring that an efficient pre-assessment and counselling service is delivered.
Spire Tunbridge Wells is a 40 bedded acute hospital situated in rural Kent, located within five miles of Royal Tunbridge Wells and on the boundaries of West Sussex. The hospital offers a range of services and facilities including two operating theatres, a sterile services department, a dedicated endoscopy suite, and a diagnostic and imaging department with an MRI and CT scanner. There are outpatient and physiotherapy departments providing services six days a week.

Duties and responsibilities
- Provide pre-assessment delivery, ensuring all appropriate assessments are undertaken, liaising with Dieticians, Consultants and Radiology
- Obtain and record an in depth medical history from patients
- Spirometry test
- Work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Receive and review new referrals
- Assist in maintaining and developing services
- Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI
Who we are looking for
Registered Nurse with current NMC registration -we would consider a newly qualified Nurse, good communication skills, excellent organizational skills and time management and the ability to work autonomously are all essential. Previous experience in pre-assessment and outpatient settings and understanding of role are desirable
