National Clinical Specialist for Cancer Services

Spire Healthcare are looking for a National Clinical Specialist for Cancer Services to join us for an exciting opportunity to develop our Cancer Services throughout the Spire Healthcare group.
This role will be split between our Southampton hospital and our Central team in London, with travel also to our hospitals that provide Cancer Care throughout the country. We are seeking to recruit a visionary, forward thinking and innovative nurse leader to drive forward the delivery of nursing services.
The opportunity to develop the service will be available to meet the demands of the business, using your knowledge and experience whilst furthering through attendance at national conferences and courses.
You will need to possess exceptional nursing skills and advanced levels of clinical judgement, knowledge and experience in order to make critical clinical judgments and decisions.
Spire Southampton provides a wide range of services including day care and inpatient and outpatient services. The main activity is elective (planned) surgery, and more complex procedures such as cardiac and spinal surgery are supported by the onsite critical care facilities.
The hospital works in partnership with local NHS acute hospital trusts, for example in recent provision of robotic surgery, and there is a large refurbished outpatient department along with extensive diagnostic imaging services

Duties and responsibilities
- Overseeing all cancer care from diagnosis through to End of Life care and Survivorship
- Being the Lead Specialist in the area of SACT and to provide specialist education and support
- Ensuring the wider cancer team deliver effective quality care and adherence to safety compliance for patients with cancer by providing excellent clinical and managerial leadership
Who we are looking for
- NMC Registration
- Recognised Chemotherapy SACT qualification
- Experience of managing a team
- Working towards MSc in Oncology Practice (desirable)
