Director of Nursing and Quality Assurance
DIRECTOR OF NURSING AND QUALITY ASSURANCE – Excellent salary and benefits, including NHS Pension.
We are seeking an experienced senior nurse leader to join our Board to drive the Nursing and Quality agenda.
We are a ‘values driven’ community owned health provider. Our recent success at The British Journal of Nursing and the Nursing Times Awards demonstrates our approach to innovation and continuous improvement, and is testimony to our committed and talented teams. As a Social Enterprise - recently listed as one of the 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain - our profits are reinvested into our staff and services. We benefit from being independent - large enough to provide a level of security - yet small enough to be able to make things happen
Our multi-disciplinary teams are proud to be trading in the year the NHS celebrates its 70th Birthday and to provide specialist healthcare services to the North East, North West, and around Yorkshire. We have established markets in Health and Justice, Sexual Health and Substance Misuse, and have recently completed the mobilisation of four new services acquired this year.
Spectrum has an ambition to ensure quality improvement is driven by staff who are uncompromising in their ambition for excellence.
If you have the strategic vision, the resilience and passion to lead the Nursing and Quality agenda so that it underpins everything we do, please do get in touch.
In addition to the support of your colleagues and team members, you will have access to and influence over our affiliated research and development charitable arm, the Transform Research Alliance, and Spectrum Learn and Develop Ltd.
The post is based in Wakefield, but travel will be required around our estate.
Please refer to the added documents and links for details of our services, successes and staff benefits. If you would like to discuss the role, please contact Dr Linda Harris, Chief Executive on 07970 899059.
If shortlisted you will be invited to an assessment session on either 24th or 25th of July.
Spectrum’s Terms and Conditions are comparable with those offered by the NHS (Agenda for Change or Medical and Dental), therefore, you will receive an excellent benefits package, including membership of the NHS pension scheme, life insurance, discounts, free parking (at the majority of sites, subject to availability). A full list of employee rewards and benefits is contained in the separate document attached.
The post holder will be expected to undertake safeguarding training (Children and Adults) appropriate to their role and adhere to policies and procedures relevant to the area they work in.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship
Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. The UK Visas and Immigration department requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.
From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement.
Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks For Overseas Applicants
Applicants must have current UK professional registration. For further information please see applying from overseas.
