Head of Service - Wakefield Integrated Sexual Health Service
We are looking for a highly motivated inspirational leader to manage the integrated sexual health services for the Wakefield district. As Head of Service you will work with Executive Directors and Managers from service partners to ensure the delivery of a high quality service. You will demonstrate an efficient use of resources, and visibility and accessibility to patients and staff.
You will be Spectrum’s CQC Registered Manager for your service and be responsbile for delivering quality clinical practice within an agreed integrated service specification, organisational principles and allocated resources. This will include the operational management of clinical and administrative staff within these areas. You will also have the opportunity to work with the Cluster Head of Service on strategic issues.
You will be responsible for the delivery of organisational specific and collective key performance indicators, and for the delivery of agreed programmes of development and improvement, thus ensuring that objectives and targets are achieved (local, regional and national). You will also lead, support and effectively implement change management initiatives to improve service provision through collaboration and joint working with key stakeholders.
Understanding the importance of maintaining specialist competencies in sexual health and keeping up to date as a clinical manager will be crucial. This post is designed to carefully apportion working time between clinical practice and specific management and leadership responsibilities.
You must be qualified as a Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP), or be willing to undertake the necessary study to achieve the qualification.
In addition to a salary of up to £46,000 and an extensive benefits package, a £1500 welcome bonus is available (subject to terms and conditions).

The post holder will be expected to undertake safeguarding training (Children and Adults) appropriate to their role and adhere to policies and procedures relevant to the area they work in.
