We are seeking RGN’s and RMN’s (Band 5 and Band 6’s) to work within both the Primary Care and Mental Health, and Pharmacy Technician (Band 5) within Primary Care teams at HMP Woodhill; an interesting, rewarding yet challenging environment. You will join a team who not only look after the healthcare needs of the prisoners, but who also have the opportunity to have a real impact on promoting health and well-being.

Our Open Day is a chance for you to find out what it is like to work at HMP Woodhill and to see what opportunities we have on offer.

Fast track to employment: 

We will be providing you with the opportunity to take part in assessment, followed by interview and pre-employment checks for those passing assessment. Please submit your application to be considered.

Walk-ins wishing to hear more about our services are also welcome. Refreshments and free parking will be provided on the day. 

What’s on offer?

  • Recruitment & Retention Due to its specific nature, qualified Band 5 and 6 nursing posts in HMP Woodhill will get an annual recruitment and retention payment of £2,500 (paid in four instalments) in addition to the AfC pay point. This payment will be a rolling payment.
  • Removal expenses if you have to move your place of residence more than 30 miles to take up a post at HMP Woodhill; we will be able to help with your expenses. This potentially includes removal costs, down payments for tenancy agreements, and cost of travelling back to the previous home.
