About Brent UCC...
The Brent Urgent Care Centre are looking for talented Advanced Nurse Practitioners to join our friendly and fast-paced service! - You’ll join a passionate team of GPs, ANPs/ENPs, HCAs and administrative staff. We are based at Central Middlesex Hospital and we’re open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and can provide flexible shifts to fit around you and your other commitments.

You will assist in the provision of a quality nurse led service to patients attending the Brent Urgent Care Centre. The role requires you to function autonomously and within your sphere of competency, whilst being a support and resource to less experienced members of staff. You must be able to assess patients, plan their care, administer treatment and discharge them or refer them as appropriate to other healthcare professionals / external agencies. The Urgent Care Centres are clinical facilities which require the individual to have the ability to work effectively as part of a multi professional team within a fast pace environment, in line with the protocols and policies of the local Service and Care UK.

You must be...

  • Able to respond to the full range of general practice patient needs, including paediatric care, care of the elderly, mental health etc.
  • To act as an autonomous practitioner rarely needing to refer to another medical professional for advice in issues of general practice clinical care. Level two nurses are significantly more advanced in their practice than nurses practicing at level one.
  • Subject to clinical area, the practitioner may be a nurse prescriber

Is this you?
You will need to be an autonomous Advanced Nurse Practitioner with experience ideally within a GP Practice or Primary Care Environment and hold a nurse prescribing qualification.

On a day-to-day basis you will be required to deliver face-to-face or telephone advice to patients and to provide safe and effective health assessments and treatment of patients. You will also be required to diagnose, treat or discharge/refer patients who attend the Primary Care Centre, or who you visit in their own home.
